Creebridge Lodge is a fine Victorian listed
house set in its own grounds. We're ideally
situated, being just a short walk from a wide
choice of evening meals, shops, riverside and
the golf course. The surrounding countryside is
rich in history and archaeology and offers some
of the loveliest yet least known scenery in
Scotland. From the rugged mountains of the
Southern Uplands to the gentle fields of the
Machars; from towering coastal cliffs teaming
with sea bird colonies to secluded sandy beaches
and bays. The variety of scenery is outstanding.
The area is justly famous for its birds and
wildlife and is a paradise for all those who
love fishing, walking, cycling or exploring the
many botanical gardens, castles, museums and

courses in Galloway, numerous salmon and trout
rivers, pony trekking and riding, sailing and
canoeing and hundreds of miles of spectacular
walking and cycling routes. We offer very
comfortable spacious en-suite rooms each of
which has a colour TV, hospitality tray, kettle,

smoking policy throughout the Guest House.

Torwood House Hotel, a
former hunting lodge is surrounded by the
beautiful Dumfries and Galloway countryside,
forests and lochs. Set in 30 acre grounds the
hotel has eight letting bedrooms, some of them
furnished with antiques and sporting artefacts,
all offering good old-fashioned comfort. Sadly
our rooms are not en-suite simply because of our
private water supply which would not be able to
cope with the large volume of water that such
facilities demand. However, all the rooms do
have hand wash basins, together with tea and
coffee making facilities.
The grounds are Abundant in
wildlife, this tranquil, rural setting allows
you to truly relax. Alternatively there are
numerous sporting activities close by, Golfing,
Fishing, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Good walking and
Cycling, Coarse fishing and trout ponds in the
grounds and a Wide range of country sporting
activities are available. Children / pets
welcome. The friendly bar boasts a wood burning
stove and offers a wide range of snacks. We also
have an extensive lunch and evening meal menu
with a variety of specials being added when
fresh local produce is in season, good home-made
food. Peace and quiet, friendly people and good
conversation, with occasional live music, are

country residence suitable for the less able.
