Resting in the heart of the picturesque and historic town of Gatehouse of Fleet, the Bank of Fleet is a small, family run hotel renowned for excellent food and a friendly atmosphere.

 

 
The hotel has a range of bedrooms with en-suite facilities including single, double and family rooms all of which have recently been totally refurbished and tastefully decorated to provide a restful environment thus enhancing your stay. The rooms all benefit from colour television plus tea and coffee making facilities whilst a trouser press, iron, hairdryer, video, fax machine & Wi-Fi are also available for use by guests.

 

Dining at the Bank of Fleet Hotel is a memorable experience and we guarantee you will be spoilt for choice from our extensive and varied menu which is planned to suit everyone's taste. From traditional Scottish fare, using all local produce, to Indian, Chinese and Italian dishes we cater for all including children, vegetarian preference and special diets. The walled beer garden to the rear of the hotel is a delightful area in which to sit and enjoy dining alfresco! The Ship Inn has been a hostelry since 1794 when ships moored in the bay to bring in daily essentials.

The present day Inn has been recently re-furbished to create a stylish and comfortable Hotel that offers a high standard of service, excellent bedrooms, and wonderful food, wines and beers served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A perfect location for a relaxing break.

The Hotel is surrounded by a fascinating mix of historical destinations, fabulous forest walks, river and sea fishing, extensive golf courses and wonderful gardens. It is rich in the abundance of nature at its best - from wild bird reserves to the quiet forests frequented by red squirrels.

The hotel has its own special literary connection. It was here that Dorothy L. Sayers wrote her famous novel Five Red Herrings and guests can trace the background to the novel in the surrounding area.
