The Galley of Lorne
Inn is a 17th Century Drover's Inn and country
retreat situated in the picturesque village of
Ardfern which is a short way down the leafy
B8002 off the main A816.

is 24 miles south of the bustling market
town and ferry port of Oban and 14 miles
north of Lochgilphead, gateway to Kintyre.
The centrally located hotel on the West
Coast of Scotland is ideally situated for

The accommodation
comprises of six en-suite rooms which have been
refurbished to a high standard and offer guests
warm and comfortable surroundings incorporating
spacious storage, high quality bedroom
furnishings and clean environment. Disabled
visitors benefit from recently installed total
access facilities to Doc M specifications. The
function room and restaurant directly overlooks
the lochside with breathtaking views towards the
sea. The menu is comprehensive with the use of
local ingredients that are in season including
seafood and game. The historic public bar
(built c.1680) offers bar meals and snacks, an
extensive selection of malt whiskies and is the
'local' for the friendly villagers. This beautiful corner of
Argyll has long been a favourite for
yachtsmen, artists and those who appreciate
beauty, wildness plus the good things in
life.
