Located at the
heart of
Speyside, this
small village,
otherwise known
as Charlestown,
may be noted for
its salmon
fishing and
shortbread but
it is
world-famous for
its single malt
whisky produced
since the early
19th century in
a local
distillery
founded by John
and James Grant.
The oldest
structure is a
packhorse bridge
which crosses
the Lour burn.
