Crewkerne to Chard road, turn left at Gravel
Pits for Winsham then left at small crossroads
for Hewish and go one mile to Highlands Dairy
Farm on the left.
Secluded coarse fishing
lakes in lovely setting surrounded by native
species of trees. One acre (approx) coarse
fishing ponds (there are 3 ponds all which are
stocked with Carp, Rudd, Tench and Roach).
Accessible for disabled persons. Parking
available adjacent to the lake. Fishing
available 7 days, dawn til dusk. Nightfishing by
prior arrangement only. Toilet facilities on
site..

open all year.
Specimen Carp to 25lb.
Current match record 274lb. Agent for EA rod
licenses, tackle shop including bait, hire of
rods, nets, etc. Tuition available. Refreshments
shop and toilet on site. Full
wheelchair access. From B3151 Yeovil to Street road, take
left into Somerton, over mini-roundabout and
turn right by fire station then follow signs.

Ash Lakes

Close to the village of Ash approximately six
miles from Yeovil - one mile from A303 into
village and first right into Burrough Street
following down into Ash Drove. Coarse fishing
from three ponds in idyllic surroundings.
Clatworthy Reservoir is situated in the Brendon
Hills on the edge of the Exmoor National Park in
west Somerset. It impounds the head waters of
the River Tone and the surrounding rolling hills
provide a picturesque setting for walking and
fishing.
There are 7 water inlets
which are all described as hot spots for
fishermen, but generally the south bank is
considered to be the best area. Clatworthy
offers good top of the water fishing with nymphs
or dry flies or at the deep areas, with sinking
lines and flashing lures. The
fishing lodge has facilities for the disabled,
plus an 'Allan' wheelie boat. For more

Four miles south of Yeovil near to the village
of East Coker, approach from the A37 Yeovil to
Dorchester road. This 142 acre reservoir offers
excellent fly fishing for rainbow and brown
trout, either from the bank or a boat. Fishing
boats may be hired and a 'wheelie' boat is
available for wheelchair users. Tuition and
tackle available by appointment from the ranger.
Fishing lodge designed to cater for people with
disabilities, bird watching, and picnic area.
Season March - October.
Two lakes each of approx 2 acres, set in
peaceful countryside and overlooked by the
Quantock Hills. One lake for fly fishermen, with
crystal clear water containing rainbow, brown,
blue & tiger trout. Average size of two pounds
plus. The other lake contains many double figure
carp to 30 Lbs, plus tench bream and perch.
Salmon and Trout Association qualified fly
fishing instruction and guidance. 1/2 day & 1 to
3 day courses, river fishing for wild brown
trout, grayling, sea trout and salmon. Lake
rainbows and brown trout from bank or boat,
brush up courses and trouble shooting, all
tackle, waders and permits included with
guidance and tuition. B&B, Hotel, self catering
and camping, everything done for you so all you
have to do is enjoy the fishing.
