activity-based courses for all ages and
abilities. The Centre is approved by BCU and
RYA. Activities offered include canoeing,
sailing, windsurfing, caving, climbing and
orienteering. Raft building and problem solving
are other popular pursuits. Overnight camps by
canoe along the canal and residential visits at
Exeter Youth Hostel are additional options.
Transport can be provided for groups resident
elsewhere, or for off-site activities.
Individuals are welcome on evening classes and
holiday schemes; groups from schools, clubs and
other organisations can book activities at any
time. Equipment has been carefully chosen to
suit all sizes, ages and abilities. Haven Banks
also has a permanent orienteering course and a
climbing wall.

Spinnakers Sailing Centre was established in
1992, based at the mouth of the river Exe. Its
aim then and now is to provide top quality
personal sailing instruction in an informal and
relaxed atmosphere. Over the years we have
expanded into one of the UK's premier sailing
schools with one of the largest and most varied
fleet of dinghies you will find anywhere. Our
courses are tailored to suit individual needs
and aspirations and remain flexible at all times
making sure you get the most from your time with
us.
Our aim is to provide as much personal
interaction and coaching as possible. We are not
only here to talk to you on the telephone about
which course is best suited to your personal
needs, but also to here to welcome you to the
Centre and get you out on the water straight
away. Our team of instructors, all RYA
Qualified, are all friends that have been with

for their teaching and sailing skills but also
for their lively personalities and enthusiasm in

old-fashioned simple pleasure for the whole
family or serious angler to enjoy. Boats
available from early mornings to evenings. By
the ½ hour, hour or up to full day. Price per
boat, up to 6 people. Mackerel lines &

delights of this lock-free Canal. For the more
adventurous or energetic, try our rowing boat
hire. Silently float along the canal under your
own steam, revisiting more peaceful days
gone-by. The rowing boat will seat up to 6
persons and makes a fun filled and memorable day
out for all the family. Buoyancy Aids are
