Situated in the natural beauty of the Sid Valley and with wonderful views of Lyme Bay from several fairways, Sidmouth Golf Club offers the perfect challenge for the golfing novice, as well as providing a test for the more accomplished golfer. Sidmouth Golf Club was founded in 1889, and designed by J.H. Taylor, it makes the most of the natural contours of the wooded western slopes of the Sid Valley. At just over 5000 yards, visitors could be forgiven for regarding the course as easy. However, this is far from the case. Each hole provides its own challenge, and undulating fairways and subtle borrows add to this demanding, yet delightful test of Golf. Inevitably, the well-designed clubhouse provides panoramic views of the Devon and Dorset coastline and offers an excellent catering service and a well-stocked bar.
