quietly sitting on the bank of a small pool, standing
waist high in waders in a swift-flowing river, or
fighting to land a large fish out at sea, in North Devon
area, this page is intended to help you source the
information you need.

Riverton more than
welcomes day ticket anglers. There are light refreshments available
as well as toilets on site. Both lakes are
readily accessible to disabled anglers with
parking within feet of Willow Pool. Pampas Lake
is a 3 acre specimen pool holding a large head
of Common, Mirror and Ghost Carp to over 25lb
with many 'doubles'. Also Roach, Bream, Tench
and some very large Perch. Responds well to boilies, sweetcorn and luncheon meat as well as
a variety of surface baits.
Willow Pool is a 2.5 acre
general pleasure and Match Lake heavily stocked
with Carp to 8lb, Tench, Bream, Roach, Perch and
Crucian Carp. Ideal for both novice and
experienced anglers alike. Try the margins early
and late with maggots, sweetcorn and luncheon
meat for mixed bags. Keepnets allowed on Willow
only - but please - proper size nets and handle
all fish with care!
Set in peaceful picturesque surroundings, these
18th century spring-fed waters offer some of the
hardest fighting carp in Devon. Abundantly
stocked with immaculate common, mirror and koi
carp, together with green and golden tench,
which makes this one of the top carp and tench
fishing venues in the Southwest of England.
These are some of the top fish in the county and
well worth coming a long way for!
In the midst's of Devonshire Heartlands' leafy
lanes and rolling emerald hills, the Retreat is
situated less than 20 miles from the M5 in a
beautiful 12 acre site of woods, meadows, and
lake, appealing to fishing and wildlife
enthusiasts or any country lovers wanting peace
and quiet to recharge their batteries and get
back in touch with the natural world.
Blakewell is an
established Trout Farm and Fishery set in a
beautiful valley, and is only a mile from
Barnstaple town centre. The favourite past time
at Blakewell is trout fishing; for a fun filled
morning or afternoon, bring the family and catch
your own rainbow trout to take home. We provide
all the fishing tackle and will show you how to
catch a fish. Guaranteed!
We will prepare and pack
you trout to cook or freeze. You will also
experience a working trout farm where you can
learn about the farming cycle of the fish and
it's environment. Smoked trout available from
our farm shop. The fly fishing lake is 5 acres
and stocked with premium rainbow trout from
2.5lb upto 20lb+. Blakewell is open every day.
