Dartmoor
Shooting is a friendly, family run game
shoot, located between the villages of
Moretonhampstead and Manaton, in the
heart of Dartmoor's National Park.
We welcome experienced guns or first time
shooting beginners.
Come and join us for a great day out. We can
accommodate up to eight experienced guns on any
one of our shoot days and up to eight beginners on
our tuition days. Dartmoor Shooting offers a more
traditional and friendly style of game shooting.
We released on my farm this year - 700 pheasants,
50 partridge and 120 ducks and we shoot 20 days
through the season. Beginners will be given an
instructive and full safety talk, followed by some
shooting tuition with some clay pigeon's. Once
comfortable with your gun we'd like you to
experience some real game shooting with a
selection of drives. Insurance for these days is
provided. Also why not try a half or full day's
hunting with hawks, with our superb falconry team.
The pheasant season is from
the 1st October to the 1st February
The hawking carries on throughout the year.
Prices for shooting days are:
Experienced days - £150 per person
Beginner days - £170 per person
A deposit of £100 per person is required at the
time of booking.
