Open all year,
the Kennet and Avon Canal is Bath’s
forgotten gem.
Built in the early 1800’s and tucked away
beyond the Georgian facades of Beau Nash
and Ralph Allen.
Overshadowed by the engineering marvels of even
earlier Roman craftsmen, the canal is the gateway
to a secret world few visitors to Bath ever
glimpse.
A cruise on board a Bath Narrowboat is your key to
unlock this secret world.
Available Cruises: 'The John Rennie' -
Luxurious restaurant boat for 10-60 guests. 'Avon'
- Day hire boat for up to 8 guests. We also run a
fleet of Anglo Welsh boats.
Hire a bicycle from the Brassknocker Basin, and
explore the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath
between Bath and Bradford on Avon. The beautiful
Limpley Stoke valley is an ideal way to explore
and observe the abundant wildlife along the
canal. Situated just 5 miles south east of Bath
on the A36, Brassknocker Basin has a car park,
café and restaurant, historic canal display,
railway and canal gift shop, chandlery boat hire
and wonderful views.
