Located just a few miles
from Bath, Trowbridge is the administrative
centre of Wiltshire.
In the Middle Ages its prosperity was based on
the textile industry after Flemish immigrants
brought their weaving skills to Wiltshire.
The town has many fine Georgian houses and a
number of 19th century mills.
Trowbridge Museum has displays on the town’s
important industrial heritage. |
