A quaint old town, Wendover
boasts a half-timbered tavern, the Red Lion, where
Oliver Cromwell spent a night in 1642. Nearby
Coombe Hill is one of highest points in the area
and affords marvellous views over the Vale of
Aylesbury. The ancient Icknfield Way crosses the
area. |
