A slow-moving rural
village, Podington dates back to the days of
the Saxons and has many fine stone cottages.
Its Norman church has a crocketed spire while
inside is a memorial to the men of the 92nd
Bomb Group of the US Air Force who flew from
the local airfield during World War II.
