OLD WARDEN
Philanthropy lies at the
heart of this village which was created by
Lord Ongley in the 19th century for
his tenants, providing some beautiful cottages
with thatched roofs. The village produced the
first Warden pear. Nearby is Biggleswade and
the remarkable Shuttleworth Collection of
aircraft, cars, carriages and bicycles.
