The London Gliding Club has been in existence
for over 70 years and special efforts are made
to welcome visitors who want to try gliding for
the first time. The club is part of aviation
history and is one of the largest and best
equipped in the country. Grade II listed club
house overlooking beautiful Dunstable Downs with
restaurant and bar.
One of Bedford's newest attractions which gives
you the chance to skydive without having to jump
out of a plane. Situated in Twinwood Business
Park, Bodyflight is the first centre of its kind
in Britain and it boasts a Wind Tunnel with fan
winds of up to 140mph. Using a unique air flow
system, it re-enacts the same sensation a
skydiver has when free-falling. The air is
propelled from the top of the tunnel, down
through to the base and up again and they say
it's just like the real thing. Come and
experience the sensation of flying through the
air and have fun even if you are not a skydiving
enthusiast- but whether it's with the greatest
of ease is entirely up to you.
