Glenbrittle Campsite
on the Isle of Skye is probably one of the most
idyllic settings for a campsite being on the
shore of Loch Brittle and at the base of the
Black Cuillins.
Located on the West
coast of the Isle of Skye, immediately to the
South-west of the Cuillins is some of the finest
rock climbing in Britain and extremely
spectacular scenery.

The
site has an undoubted following from
devotees of "The natural site" being set in
an environment which is as near to wild
camping as possible yet with amenities at
hand. |
Amenities include electric hook ups, toilet
block with free hot showers and a "Mini-Mart".
The "Mini Mart" provides most everyday needs
from fresh and canned food, fresh vegetables,
milk & butter as well as fresh bread, cold
drinks and ice cream. Camping and climbing
equipment (the sort of items overlooked and left
at home!) are always on sale as are gifts and
souvenirs. Glenbrittle campsite is an ideal base
for taking on the Cuillin Ridge or more gentle
walks in the corries and glens for the less
ambitious.

Sligachan campsite is open during the summer
months. Facilities include; toilets, shower,
washing machine & tumble dryer. There are 15
electric hook-ups and a hard standing area.
