Llamas have been used as pack animals for over
5000 years. The Incas built their empire on the
back of Llamas, in fact they are still used in
South America, especially in the mountain areas
where trade would be otherwise impossible!
Llamas are intelligent,
gentle animals, a great walking companion whilst
trekking through Scotland, ideal for carrying a
picnic and bottle of wine. But you don't ride
them! Pick the trek that suits you best, from
sunset to sunrise, half days to full weekend
packages.
For further information on this activity in
Glenshiel, Fort William see our website.
