We
have been in business for over 20 years. We are
a family run business who offer riding at all
levels.
We are
equally happy to take complete novices,
experienced riders and career students. Our
friendly staff are always on hand to tend to
your needs whether it be for a private lesson in
the indoor school or a family trek out for
complete novices. We have a huge variety of
horses and cater for everyone. Children welcome
over 4 years.
All kinds of riding experiences on offer,
including Country Hacking, Riding Tuition, Group
Courses, Livery and full schooling. Riding is in
all weather conditions - good waterproofs
recommended. 4-Star Riding Holidays arranged and
Pub Rides.
Murthwaite Green
Trekking Centre is situated on the edge of the
scenic village of Silecroft within the Lake
District National Park. The centre offers horse
riding for all ages and abilities.
Pony trekking - Ass of British Riding School
approved centre. Beautiful mountain scenery on
Barton Fell. Beginners and children welcome.

Cumbrian Heavy Horses is the UK's exclusive
Clydesdale and Shire Heavy Horse Riding
Centre.
Fully approved by both the BHS and the TRSS
we are situated in the beautiful Whicham
Valley, just a few miles from the coast
nestling in the foothills of Black and White
Combe, in the Lake District National Park,
giving us access to some of the the UK's
most spectacular lake and mountain scenery!
With mature, responsible,yet fun guides and well schooled,
magnificent horses (fast too!!!) and a
variety of instructional hacks available we
