The Piers:
All the best seaside resorts have a pier -
Blackpool's got three! The piers are one of
Blackpool's top features - and each has its own
unique character. North
Pier:
is famous for its theatre and seasonal shows,
its shops, restaurants and bars and its
sunbathing. Central Pier:
offers you a show bar and the breathtaking Big
Wheel, plus amusement arcades for all ages…and
South Pier:
is simply perfect for family fun, with its
circus-marquee entrance and spectacular rides.

There's the international Tower Circus awarded
best UK Circus 2001, Tower Top and Walk of Faith
challenge. Children can run wild in Jungle Jim's
or journey back in time on the Dinosaur Ride.
Take tea in the Ballroom or dance to the
Wurlitzer Organ, or visit Undersea World or the
Charlie Cairoli exhibition.

The Golden Mile:
This is where seaside fun overflows. The brash
and bustling Golden Mile offers seaside
favourites like hamburgers, chips, ice cream and
candy floss. A place where silly hats and saucy
T-shirts are the order of the day. The Golden
Mile is also the slot machine capital of Britain
where giant leisure centres are interspersed
with the latest video technology. Discos,
cabaret spots and exhibitions are all to be
found on Blackpool’s famous Golden Mile. Among
the latest additions to the Mile is the £6m Sea
Life Centre with its thrilling "shark tunnel".
Do the Golden Mile on foot to savour all the
sights, sounds and smells, then see it again
from a tram or one of the fleet of horse-drawn
landaus!

Enjoy the permanent heatwave at the Sandcastle
on Blackpool Promenade. Inside our family and
disabled friendly, award-winning WATERWORLD,
it's a subtropical paradise with constant
temperatures of 84oF. The proud home of the
Masterblaster, the longest indoor rollercoaster
waterslide in the world at an incredible 260
metres. The new Ushi-Gushi River Creek, with
palm-fringed water and 'watery surprises',
provides watery fun for all the family while
tots will love becoming pirates on their own
play galleon, HMS Thundersplash. Sidewinder sees
riders literally tipped off the edge of a steep
ravine into a giant u-shaped runway and the
whole family can travel along Action River.
Already a favourite, the Caribbean Storm and
Treetops Multi-Slide has more than 35
interactive features, topped by Britain's
biggest coconut which tips 600 gallons of water
onto the clambering playmates beneath! There are

The Blackpool Countryside Experience is a series
of nature walks from Stanley park through the
Woodland Gardens, around herons reach and
linking to Marton Mere Nature Reserve. There is
a wide variety of walks of differing lengths,
ranging from a short stroll around Stanley Park,
to a more challenging ramble.

The Sea Life Centre houses one of Europe's
largest marine collections with the tropical
shark display as the dramatic centrepiece. Enter
the mythical 'Lost City of Atlantis' and journey
through our underwater tunnel surrounded by the
ocean's greatest predators. Visit the new
display "Claws" or browse in the shop and enjoy
refreshments in Kites Café.
