schools providing courses and equipment hire, yacht
charter, etc
Not all the water-based activities
available in the area are listed but if you know of an
appropriate activity provider who does not yet have an entry, please
submit the information here.
Formed as an offshoot of the Robin Hood
Watersports Club, aimed at divers with
qualifications of Sports diver and above.
Meetings take place every Thursday evening at
9pm at the address above.
The club meets most Thursday evenings at the
Morley Leisure Centre at 8pm.

Branch 18 offer a variety of activities for
divers of varying levels of experience.
The club meets on most Monday nights from 8pm at
the Huddersfield Sports Centre , usually
followed by a social trip to the pub, The
Flyboat Inn, in Aspley.
The club meets every Thursday night from 9.30pm
at The Woolpack. If you wish to try diving, join
them at Almondbury Pool on Thursday Evenings at
9:00pm.
This small, family run club extends its
membership to all those wishing to sail.
Everyone from the experienced to the beginner is
welcomed. Please contact the club for further

Formed in 1937, West Riding Sailing Club is one
of the largest and oldest sailing clubs in
Yorkshire with around 300 members and 120 boats.
We are situated five miles South-East of
Wakefield on Wintersett Reservoir with a sailing
area covering approximately 100 acres. A new
clubhouse built in 2006 is the pride of the club
and hosts many social activities throughout the
year. The club caters for all sailors from the
novice to the experienced racer. The club races
every Sunday during the year and Wednesday
nights during the summer months. The water is
open any other time for recreational sailing.
Located between Bradford and Leeds, close to
Leeds Bradford Airport, YSC has a full training
and racing programme for dinghy sailors of all
ages and skills. YSC is a RYA member. The YSC
clubhouse is located next door to the Leeds
Sailing Centre.
