Otley boasts a good weekly market (4 miles) Ilkley with famous 'Betty's Tea Room' is 5 miles as are the many amenities of Bradford. Leeds and Harrogate both 12 miles City of York 30 miles. Excellent golf walking and riding locally (stabling for visitors' own horses can be arranged). Fishing ¼ mile. Fine pubs and restaurants within 2 miles. Shops 3 miles.

Bradford's Photographic Museum is also well worth a visit and Fountains Abbey Newby Hall Harewood Hall and Harlow Carr gardens are easily accessible.
