The house is more recently famous as Dr
Ferrenby's surgery in the Yorkshire TV series,
''Heartbeat''. All our rooms have en-suite
facilities, central heating and tea/coffee
making facilities. We have a guest lounge with
colour TV (plus freesat digital channels) and
open fire from original cast iron grate. FREE

Rose Cottage
in the centre of Goathland is one of the
most beautiful cottages in the North
Yorkshire Moors.
The Cottage is just minutes away from the
Steam Railway Station, Scripps Garage,
the local pubs and the village shops. |

This Grade II building with its stone walls and
beams throughout is over 180 years old. It has its
own large enclosed cottage style garden with ample
parking for all guests. Bedrooms have tea and
coffee making facilities and a television.
We offer a traditional full English or vegetarian
breakfast made from locally sourced ingredients.
Goathland is known as Aidensfield in the TV series
Heartbeat and just a short stroll away from the
cottage is the Aidensfield Arms, Scripps Garage
and other beloved sights from the series. Other
attractions are the North York Moors Railway, the
seaside villages of Robin Hoods Bay and Sands End.

stone which came from the church.

It has been used several times in the last series
of "Heartbeat" and can be seen in most of the
episodes as it forms part of the back drop. The
accommodation comprises a double or twin room with
en-suite facilities. There is a guest sitting room
if you prefer to stay in. At
the rear is the garden which has magnificent views
across the moors. There is also off road parking
available. The rugged country which encircles
Goathland is ideal for walking and nearby
attractions include The NYM Steam Railway. The
cottage is listed in the AA book of British
Villages, a guide to the most interesting and
attractive villages.

overlooking fields and open moorland.
