Riverside Leisure Cente is situated in the
centre of the historic market town of Morpeth in
Northumberland. The centre has a wide variety of
health and fitness facilities on offer as well
as being able to cater for parties and events
and high quality child care. The centre has a
fully equipped Harpers gym complete with a
selection of free weights, an air conditioned
studio with sprung floor which offers a wide
variety classes to suite all abilities and
tastes. Our swimming pool has a varied timetable
which includes swimming lessons, super soaker
sessions, adults only and inflatable sessions.
The centre also boasts an OFSTED registered
crèche and our friendly Sports Cafe. A
multi-purpose sports hall is also available to
cater for badminton, basketball, football and
short tennis. The beautiful Calisle Park
adjacent to the Riverside Leisure Centre has
tennis courts and crazy golf facilities as well
as two well kept bowling greens. All in all, the
Riverside Leisure Centre can cater for a wide
variety of health and fitness needs.
Swan Centre has the following facilites
available: Badminton Bar & Catering, Bowls,
Flume, Gym, Harpers Fitness Studio, Sauna, Steam
Room, Sunbeds, Swimming Pool. The Swan Centre
boasts extensive facilities with something for
everyone, from Aquafit to Zebra making (part of
the Camp Energy build an animal playday).
Get totally tropical in our pool, work out in
the exercise suite, or live out your sporting
fantasies. Tired already? Then relax in the
Sauna or top up the tan. Go on - you deserve it!
Originally opened in 1990 by the Duke and
Duchess of York, Waterworld was extended in 2000
and now offers a superb range of water, fitness,
sports and play activities. Set in attractively
landscaped grounds, the complex is ideal for a
family day out, a vigorous work out or a
relaxing drink and snack in Waves Café.
Ride the waves, try the slides, swim in safety
and comfort. Give your heart and lungs a
work-out in the Contours suite. Relax on the
sunbeds or in the Turkish, Sauna and Aerotone
baths.
Newcastle Road Baths is located on the north
side of the river on the A184. The building was
opened to the public in June1936 offering
swimming and the facility to enjoy a hot bath.
The baths are within a large housing area and
are popular with all age groups of the local
community. The baths are easily accessible by
car with ample free parking and regular bus
services run from the centre of Sunderland and
outlying areas. Access is gained by the entrance
on the west side of the building with reception
immediately opposite the entrance. Facilities
include: 25m Swimming Pool, Learner Pool, Sauna
& Steam, Sunbeds, Slipper Baths, Fitness Room.
