The Ravensworth Arms stands on the site of Clubdon Hall, and takes it's name from the nearby Ravensworth Castle. The pub can boast a wealth of literary connections: Lewis Carroll wrote his immortal classic 'Alice in Wonderland' here and, it is claimed, the famous writer Catherine Cookson was conceived here, her mother having worked at the pub.

The Ravensworth Arms is situated in a peaceful, countryside setting, yet is close to all amenities with quick connections to all major transport links, business areas and local attractions. In keeping with the traditional atmosphere of the building, we have 13 quality, en suite bedrooms and meeting facilities for up to 50 people.
