Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, we
are pleased to offer you two holiday cottages
for let here at Lowsteads. Being part of the
National Tourist Board, we have been inspected
and awarded for both of our holiday cottages the
Tourist Board Badge of "Three Keys (commended)
Rating". They are both comfortable, single
storey cottages, built in stone. Each posses a
large living room and hall area, three bedrooms
(two twin rooms and one double room); kitchen
and bathroom. There is a lawned garden in front
of the cottages and ample parking to the rear of
them. The cottages are a short distance from the
sea and are far enough away from the farm
buildings to eliminate disturbance. The cottages
are situated about half a mile away from the
beach known locally as Sugar Sands, This is
accessible by car, down the single tracked
country lane, or on foot which is a 5-10 minute
walk. The village of Longhoughton is one half
mile away, and it contains a small supermarket
(which is open seven days a week), a pub, a post
office and a church. The market town of Alnwick
is about five miles inland.

An ideal holiday base these attractive cosy and comfortable properties four of which we offer here sit on a courtyard in the heart of Beadnell village a popular venue for water sports enthusiasts and boasting a picturesque harbour as well as two pubs serving food a café and a shop – all within a few yards' stroll.

In the lovely village of Embleton and just a short walk from a superb sandy beach (pictured) this attractive stone built cottage forms part of a converted coach house set on a courtyard beside a hotel. Two pubs serving food and the local shop and post office are just yards away and Coastal walking to Dunstanburgh Castle (N.T.) and the quaint harbour at Craster a village world famous for its traditional kippers. Alnwick Castle and Gardens (8 miles) seasonal boat trips from Seahouses to the bird and seal colonies of the Farne Islands Beadnell village and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne are all only a short drive away.
