Walkers will enjoy the local footpaths including the 'Minster Way' and 'Wolds Way' and dogs are allowed to exercise on designated farm fields. The duck pond opposite the cottages supports a variety of wild life and the surrounding area is home to a wealth of scenic and historic places of interest. Golf 7 miles. There are several excellent pubs in the area serving food. Nearest shops 2 miles.

Skipsea Sands makes a superb centre for your family holiday in a countryside setting and close to miles of sandy beaches stretching from Flamborough Head to Spurn Point. Local access to the beach is by steps.

The surrounding area offers a host of scenic and historic attractions. Just north along the coast are Flamborough Head's fantastic cliffs and Scarborough's castle with Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors beyond.

Bridlington with its picturesque harbour is just 10 miles away and Hornsea is only 6 miles down the coast.
