The beautiful ruins of 12th
century Bolton Abbey mix with waterfalls and
meadows to provide an atmospheric setting, which
inspired the great 19th century artist Turner to
capture it on canvas.
The nave of the priory has been turned into the
parish church while the grounds are part of a
magnificent estate owned by the Duke and Duchess
of Devonshire.
