waist high in waders in a swift-flowing river, or
fighting to land a large fish out at sea, in County Durham

A fishing charity project that teaches children
with or without social problems. All equipment
is supplied free of charge and they also teach
adults as well as anyone who wants to learn how
to fly fish. Instructors are fully trained to
GAIA standards. Child protection and first aid
training. This is a great way to spend a few
hours just turn up and everything is provided
for your pleasure.
Brasside Pond

Predominantly a Carp water now, Brasside Pond is
set in around 7 acres of farmland surrounded by
well established hawthorn. Open all year. Night
fishing is possible.
Balderhead Fishery

Northumbrian Water, sited high up among heather
grouse moors. Depth between eleven and twenty
feet. Ticket machine on site.
Horseshoe Lake

roach and perch in tranquil surroundings. Day
tickets available.

moorlands. Coloured water over twenty feet deep.
Lakeside stone building. This water is suitable
for the disabled angler.
West House Trout Lakes consist of two very well
stocked clear water spring fed lakes. Approx.
size of 2.5 acres. Stocked with Rainbow and Blue
trout 2 - 12lb. Single fly only. WEST HOUSE
TROUT LAKES ARE A TROUTMASTER VENUE. 10 minutes
from Stockton, Darlington and Sedgefield.
