Upton-by-Chester Golf
Club is an 18 hole parkland course and includes
6 par three's. In 2005 18 greens were
redesigned. However it demands a great deal of
accuracy to come away with a good score.
As well as including their
own large putting green and teaching
professional, Upton by Chester Golf Club also
boasts excellent bar and catering facilities
combined with an exceptionally friendly
atmosphere.
Eaton’s clubhouse has everything you would hope
for and more. The Spike Bar is lively and
informal with a TV tuned into sport. The Lounge
Bar is comfortable and elegant. Enjoy a coffee
before your game - or a drink afterwards; read
the complimentary newspapers; discuss the finer
points of your round or simply be delighted by
the panoramic views. Full professional services
are available including tuition and a full range
of equipment. A Practice range is now available.
A NEW Shortgame Practice Chipping area has been
designed. We would be delighted to welcome you
to our fine course and clubhouse and hope that
everyone who comes enjoys their day at Waverton.
Set in 200 acres of Cheshire countryside,
Aldersey Green Golf Club has a golf course that
is envied by many but rivalled by few in terms
of sheer enjoyment to play. Many of the fairways
are tree-lined and narrow making accuracy from
the tee absolutely pivotal to scoring well. The
course is also home to 14 lakes so by warned
that any stray shots can, and on many occasions
will be punished. Packing a few extra balls in
your bag might be a good idea!
The course is made up of 18 holes and covers an
area of 5,915 yards in total. Many professionals
who have played this challenging course have
stated that the first five holes are amongst the
hardest opening holes to any golf course they
have played. The jewel in the crown must be the
picturesque par 3 16th measuring a total of 181
yards. Other holes of note are the 4th which is
a tough driving hole for big hitters and not so
big hitters. The 17th is a short par 5 but
rarely is its green reached in two, due to the
slight dogleg left and the water hazard
protecting the small green. There are a total of
seven holes containing water hazards with the
par 4 11th having a water hazard running from
the tee to the green splitting the fairway in
two.
