It comprises of a 25 metre main pool and a
large, separate, shallow learner pool. There are
also modern, comfortable changing facilities
with parent and baby changing rooms. Disabled
access is excellent with separate disabled
changing rooms. A large pool-side spectators
area with a variety of vending machines for
snacks and drinks compliments this modern and
welcoming centre. The Pool offers public
swimming, adults and junior swimming lessons,
aqua aerobics and inflatable / fun sessions.
Inside our family and disabled friendly,
award-winning WATERWORLD, it's a subtropical
paradise with constant temperatures of 84oF.
Dare you brave the Barracuda or Serpent white
knuckle water chutes? Ride our two 300ft Gentle
Giant water slides and tame the Typhoon Lagoon
wild wave pool. Splash into the Sleepy Lagoon
children's fun pool or just relax in our sauna
or on one of our sun loungers.
Opened in July 2001 has 8 five-a-side pitches
combined with a gymnasium, aerobics studio,
Sports hall and five netball courts, plus a bar
and function room.
Enjoy the permanent heatwave at the Sandcastle
on Blackpool Promenade. Inside our family and
disabled friendly, award-winning WATERWORLD,
it's a subtropical paradise with constant
temperatures of 84oF. The proud home of the
Masterblaster, the longest indoor rollercoaster
waterslide in the world at an incredible 260
metres. The new Ushi-Gushi River Creek, with
palm-fringed water and 'watery surprises',
provides watery fun for all the family while
tots will love becoming pirates on their own
play galleon, HMS Thundersplash. Sidewinder sees
riders literally tipped off the edge of a steep
ravine into a giant u-shaped runway and the
whole family can travel along Action River.
Already a favourite, the Caribbean Storm and
Treetops Multi-Slide has more than 35
interactive features, topped by Britain's
biggest coconut which tips 600 gallons of water
onto the clambering playmates beneath! There are
also several themed and interactive play areas
for the kids and you can have fun with water
cannons, magic jets and water blasters. There is
a safe harbour for toddlers and plenty of room
for landlubbers too.
