Winner of 'Ulster Guest
House of the Year' award, Fortwilliam is over
three hundred years old and the interior decor
is reminiscent of that period with lovely
antique furniture throughout. Located just 3.5
miles from the historic village of Hillsborough,
Fortwilliam extends to over 70 acres and is an
active farm specialising in the production of
thoroughbred horses.
Mavis loves to chat over
fresh tea and home-made cakes that are always on
offer in her country style kitchen, featuring a
warming Aga and baskets hanging from the beams.
Enjoy a traditional 'Ulster' breakfast in the
morning. All four rooms are non smoking,
spacious and have been tastefully decorated and
furnished. Expect to be coddled at Fortwilliam
Country House as one would expect of such award
winners.
