Hadrian Fisheries is
located at Haydon Bridge in the picturesque
county of Northumberland.
Just 2 miles off the
A69 and close to both Berwick upon Tweed and
Newcastle upon Tyne, it is highly accessible
from both north and south.
With the contrasting
landscapes of rugged cliffs of the north sea
coastline and the rolling moorlands of the
Cheviot Hills, Northumberland is the ideal
county in which to perfect those outdoor
pursuits such as fly fishing and clay pigeon
shooting. Notable as 'a quality water to visit 7
days a week', Hadrian Fisheries has given the
region’s anglers another serious outlet.
We
are a trout fisheries which is stocked with
second to none stock of rainbow, blue and brown
trout.
Situated amidst some of
the country’s most naturally beautiful
landscapes the setting is breathtaking and
tranquil and a draw to both visitors and locals
alike. Prices are 10.00 per adult for catch and
releaseor 15.00 per
adult for catch and keep including 1 fish. Reduced
rates are available after 5pm for evening
fishing. Discounted parent and child rates are
also available and prove extremely popular. We
also offer a tagged fish. This is optional and
it means that anglers can pay 1.00 per visit and
if they catch the tagged fish then they win
prize money which has accumulated in the pot.
Hadrian fisheries also
boasts a new and fully equipped tackle shop,
catering for all your fly fishing requirements
and accessories with many of the sport’s top
brands. With some of England's finest stretches
of water on its doorstep, including the Tweed
and the Tyne, the Fisheries can furnish you with
the best equipment.
Top quality Clay Pigeon
Shooting is also offered at Hadrian Fisheries
with some of the North East's best targets.
Expert private tuition is available on site and
the cost of 25 clays is around £50 inclusive of
gun hire and cartridges. The Fisheries has the
added advantage of a cafe on site, serving
hearty home-made hot food throughout the winter
months including warming soups and bacon rolls.
Open all year round it is the perfect place to
relax and reflect on the day’s targets and
catches.
Bywell Shooting Ground is established as one of
the foremost clay pigeon shooting grounds in the
UK. The same professional expertise we provide
to host major championships such as the English
Open is also available to provide the highest
level of tuition for novice and experienced
shots. Bywell also has its own on site (and
online) gun shop which has a wide range of
shotguns, rifles, cartridges and accessories
from top manufacturers like Perazzi, Browing and
Beretta. If we don't have what you want we can
usually get it within a few days.
If you shoot regularly or have never held a
shotgun in your life you will enjoy breaking
clay pigeons in a private, safe and beautiful
woodland environment. You will be looked after
by a competent clay pigeon shooter on a one to
one basis, or in the case of parties of up to
ten clients, by skilled shotgun marksmen. We
take pride in offering a personal service so our

The ground is affiliated to the Clay Pigeon
Shooting Association one of the main governing
body's of the sport and has been classified as a
'PREMIER' ground, only 1 of 2 in Northumberland.
We are involved in Clay Target Shooting at all
levels, whether it is new starters,
competitions, corporate days, club shoots or the
individual experienced shooter wishing to get in
some practice, we can and do cater for everyone.
