This quiet moorland town
comes alive on market days and from Vivers
Hill there are splendid views over the Vale of
Pickering.
The town’s Market Hall dates from 1700 while
the Black Swan inn is a half-timbered building
dating from 1634. The town has fine
countryside around it and a short drive will
take visitors to nearby Ryedale Folk Museum at
Hutton-le-Hole, a fascinating living museum. |
