Townend Farm is
located on the fringe of the North York Moors
National Park and is an ideal base from which to
explore the National Park including Heartbeat
Country and the spectacular coastline.

consists of 1 double room, 1 twin room and 1

This is a non smoking establishment. A hearty full English
breakfast or Continental is included in the
tariff. Special dietary and packed lunches can
be catered for with suitable advance notice. For
your evening meal there is a large choice of
restaurants in both Saltburn and Whitby.
Alternatively over the road is The Tiger Inn
with a range of tasty home cooked lunches &
evening meals at affordable prices and on a
Friday and Saturday evening there is Live
Entertainment. Local attractions include
The North Yorkshire Steam Railway, Castle
Howard and Rosedale Abbey or the picturesque
coastal fishing villages of Staithes and
Runswick Bay. Walkers & cyclists welcome.

The Captain
Cook Inn is situated at the top of the bank
above the old village of Staithes. Your hosts
are Betty & Trevor Readman. Children welcome
and have use of the games room situated next to
the bar. All bedrooms have hospitality trays,
colour TV, Bar menu available.
Ideally located for
'Heartbeat' and Captain Cook Country. Cleveland
& North Yorkshire Region CAMRA Pub of the Year
2000 and Pub of the Season Summer 2002, Summer
2004 & Summer 2007. Short break special terms
available on request.
New for 2008: 1 self contained cottage
providing accommodation for up to 6 persons. One
