This pretty
village is
famous for its
moated,
brick-built 15th
century castle,
which offers
wondrous views
over the Fens,
Lincoln
Cathedral and
the Boston
Stump.
Now
in the hands of the
National Trust,
it was
originally
conceived by
Ralph Cromwell,
Lord High
Treasurer of
England, and was
restored in the
early part of
the 20th century
by Lord Curzon.
