This interesting seaside
resort can be neatly divided into two halves,
the hilltop village of Upper Sheringham and
the ancient, fishing village of Lower
Sheringham.
They make up one of the most
attractive small towns in the northern part of
Norfolk. Lower Sheringham has soft sands and
all the paraphernalia of an English holiday
resort.
Sheringham Park, now run
by the National Trust, was landscaped by
Humphrey Repton in 1812 and offers stunning
vistas of the coast and inland from
observation towers.
