If you've seen the Cam in Cambridge, you might
find it hard to believe there's a sailing club
on such a narrow river. It's a little wider
where we sail and we have a good stretch of
water that's clear of trees. The Cam Sailing
Club is a friendly, family club, but with a
large racing programme. Although there's regular
racing, many members just sail without racing.
The grounds, mostly lawns along the banks of the
Cam, are an excellent place to relax with a
family on a summer's day.
Customers can choose from taking a tour with a
chauffeur guide or hiring a punt for themselves.
We have three types of punt: 6-seater, 12-seater
and 16-seater (12/16 seater available with
chauffeur only, large self-hire groups can join
together two 6-seater punts). Although most
people share a chauffeured punt with others, we
are happy to provide private tours on request,
booking is advisable. We are based opposite
Queens' College Porter's Lodge, adjacent to
Darwin College, on Silver Street Bridge.
