Join us for our exciting
programme of lessons for children and adults or
just come along and cool off! In the building is
an eight lane 25 metre pool, separate adaptable
diving pool, two giant flume rides, a children's
water area, a state of the art health suite and
a cafeteria restaurant.
Try it . . . it's your
pool. We know you'll love it! The Pools are open
from 7am to 9.30pm Monday-Friday (to 5pm on
Thursdays) and 8am to 5.30pm at weekends. There
is always public swimming available during these
times but exact facilities will vary.
Paddling Pools:
There are five outdoor paddling pools, all free
and open from mid May until mid September. They
are at Coldhams Common (just behind the Abbey
Pool), Cherry Hinton Hall, Coleridge Recreation
Ground, Lammas Land and in the play area off
Jedburgh Close in King's Hedges.
A five lane 25 metre main pool, a large teaching
pool which is ideal for younger children, and a
sauna. Plenty of free parking.
Sheep's Green Pool

This small learner pool is in a quiet spot by
the River Cam in Newnham, reached from the
Lammas Land car park. It is ideal for children
learning to swim, with an attendant on duty
during the mid May to mid September season. We
regret that there is no wheelchair access to
this pool.
Jesus Green Pool

Cambridge's largest pool is one of the few
remaining examples of the lidos (open air
swimming pools) which were built across the
country in the Twenties and Thirties. Set in an
ideal position by the River Cam, it is also one
of the longest such pools still operating in the
country. Jesus Green pool has spacious changing
facilities, with plenty of grassed and paved
areas for sunbathing. It is surrounded by mature
trees which act as a natural windbreak and
enhance the very special atmosphere of this
unique pool.
The facilities include a large Sports Hall, two
squash courts and a Fitness Suite with a
15-station multi-gym and cardio-vascular
equipment, which can be used by the public in
the evening and at the weekends.

facilities available to the public at

Badminton, basketball, tennis, Taekwon do,
aerobics, step, scrabble, out of school for
11+years. Fitness suite, holiday activities,
available for birthday parties. Pay & play
football, tennis, badminton, short tennis,
cricket nets and Astro football pitch.
